EDIT: I finally went back and fixed a lot of things; fine-tuned the background, fixed some of the messy shading, redid the face/eye, added the other leg and added foreground snow. (sorry if this gets in your message box)

Those are stalagmites, I believe. A lot of people get them mixed up with stalactites, but I'm pretty sure I've got it right. Stalactites have to hold on "tite", cause they're on the roof, right? Hehe

Wow, great imagination and nifty creature. I like the harmony of colors and, well, stalagmites + snow + such a light, one can imagine anything about that world. Very inventive.
