Artist's Comments

It really has nothing to do with the book. It was the only title that seemed to fit. I guess it's the result of having recently finished the book, listening to a lot of My Chemical Romance and a craving for pen and ink. Mmmmm marker fumes :p

The scan cut off a lot on the right side and I cropped off some of the bottom because I thought it looked dumb. Oh and I flipped it after scanning because all my subjects seem to be facing to the left. Time to change things up.

I just keep getting messier and messier, don't I? Although I am semi-proud because I managed a sort-of-interesting pose. *tries to ignore huge, hideous anatomical flaws* *cringe*

Ummm despite all that .... enjoy? Heh ...

Haha true, I though he was angry until I saw the flies??? Now I'm confused ^-^"
Nice drawing ;)

So you aren't leaving us in the darkness after all?

Love this world! So many reasons to hate!

Well, there isn't much to complain about the anatomical in the first place, but then again, I haven't study animals as much as you so I wouldn't know... But still, the head (and majority of the neck) is stunningly beautiful. And nah, you're not getting messier. Inking takes a heck lot of skill. We're all human, we all make mistakes. Besides, your inking skill is a lot (and when I say a lot, I mean A LOT) better than me at least! If you give me an inking pen, I'd smudge all over the paper REALLY BADLY and have extra lines all over the places. >.<

The "flies" (or whatever those little flying thing are) doesn't seem to fit in the picture well though. Your dragon (it looks like a dragon to me) seems to be trying to eat the flies... or that the flies are flying out of it's mouth?

Also, I have to question, what the heck is that "smoothly curved fang thingy" from the upper jaw? It looks as if someone pulled one of his fang out a bit, then hammered it till it is nicely curved!

Fear is why we hesitate and repeat the same mistakes.

How are you confused? It's a dragon that's angry. And he's roaring. The flies are there for an unknown purpose. Heh heh

And nope, I will try my very hardest to keep up with things here ;)

Lol, I really don't know what's with the flies. They were an afterthought.

Hey, I have to maintain my reputation as my own worst critic somehow, lol.

About the fang ... ummm it's more of a tusk? You know like warthogs have? Well it was my attempt at that anyways. Might have looked better from a different angle.
